According to CBRE's Q2 2026 European Data Centres report, neocloud providers signed 420MW of colocation capacity intended for AI workloads in the first half of 2026, up from 89MW in the same period of 2025—a fourfold increase. The surge reflects growing business demand for AI services and larger capacity commitments by emerging infrastructure providers. Of the capacity, 66% was contracted in the Nordic region, where lower-cost renewable power is available. The milestone signals data centre operators' increased confidence in neocloud companies as viable, investment-grade customers.

Switch, Inc. announced full-year 2017 financial results with record revenue of $378.3 million, representing 19% year-over-year growth. The Las Vegas-based data center operator expanded its facility portfolio across The Core Campus, The Citadel Campus, and The Pyramid Campus while maintaining industry-leading low customer churn of 0.6%. Capital expenditures reached $402.6 million, reflecting aggressive expansion capacity and the acquisition of The Pyramid Campus property in Q4 2017.
