    Boardman Amazon AWS 107 — broke ground

    The permittee operates PDX 1, a data center (electronic data processing center), that houses computer systems and associated components, such as telecommunications and data storage systems. The facility includes data communications equipment, security systems, environmental controls, and backup emergency power supplies (engine- generator sets). The principal use of the facility is the storage, management, and dissemination of electronic data. To date, the permittee has installed 75 emergency engine-generator sets. Construction of the data center started in 2012.
