    Equinix to Acquire 13 Bell Data Centers in Canada for US$750 Million

    Equinix entered into a definitive agreement to purchase a portfolio of 13 data centers across Canada from BCE Inc. for US$750 million in an all-cash transaction. The acquisition expands Equinix's presence to seven new Canadian metros (Calgary, Kamloops, Vancouver, Millidgeville, Montreal, Ottawa, and Winnipeg) and adds approximately 1.2 million gross square feet of data center space with over 600 existing Bell customers. The deal, expected to close in H2 2020, positions Equinix as a market leader for data center and interconnection services in Canada and is expected to be immediately accretive to adjusted funds from operations per share.
