Zayo announces 8,000-mile fiber build for AI data centers with Nvidia anchor customer
Zayo announced plans to build more than 8,000 miles of long-haul fiber across emerging AI corridors, with Nvidia as anchor customer, to support dedicated connectivity for distributed AI data centers. The expanded program spans over 15,000 route miles across North America, including six new routes and capacity expansions across ten high-demand markets. Zayo will build, own and operate the network while making remaining capacity available to other customers including cloud providers and enterprises. The buildout addresses supply constraints in optical equipment and gaps in fiber infrastructure in secondary corridors where AI facilities are expanding geographically.
