In May 2014 CIX doubled its floor space by opening a second data hall, CIX 1B. On Monday 12th May, Mr. Sean Sherlock TD, Minister of State, Department of Enterprise, Jobs & Innovation and Department of Education & Skills with responsibility for Research & Innovation formally opened the new extension.
