    EPA launches investigation into noise complaints at Echelon Dublin data centre

    The Environmental Protection Agency has begun an investigation into a new Echelon DUB10 data centre in Clondalkin, west Dublin, following complaints from nearby residents about persistent low-frequency humming noise starting in July. The facility, still under construction, prompted residents to file complaints; Echelon Data Centres has removed contractor generators and applied mitigation measures to chiller units. A public meeting is planned with a community group concerned about rapid data-centre proliferation in County Kildare, and a zoning motion regarding data centres is scheduled before Kildare County Council.

    Echelon, Trinovium collaborate on liquid cooling for AI data centres

    Echelon Data Centres and Trinovium, a subsidiary of Trinity Biotech, have partnered to develop liquid cooling technologies for AI and high-density computing environments. The collaboration combines Echelon's hyperscale data-centre expertise with Trinovium's high-purity fluid manufacturing and analytical capabilities. Development will cover direct-to-chip cooling fluids, thermal management systems, and modular liquid cooling for high-performance computing, with monitoring capabilities to track corrosion, contamination, and microbial growth. Echelon operates 1.4 GW of secured capacity across Ireland, the UK, Italy and other markets.
