Nscale, Vantage and Humain weigh IPOs as AI data centre costs soar
Three major data-centre builders are preparing initial public offerings to finance AI campus expansion. Nscale, the London-based AI cloud company founded by Josh Payne, could list in the U.S. as soon as September 2026; Vantage Data Centers, led by Sureel Choksi, is exploring an IPO or sale valued at ~$100 billion; and Tareq Amin's Saudi Arabia-based Humain has hired an investor relations team for dual listings in Riyadh and New York by 2029. Rising project costs—AI-ready data centres now cost roughly three times more than conventional ones, with flagship projects budgeted at $15–25 billion each—have made public equity markets necessary to finance the scale of modern infrastructure.
Nscale files for IPO on NYSE
Nscale, an AI hyperscale infrastructure company, filed a Form S-1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on September 21, 2026, for a proposed initial public offering of ordinary shares on the New York Stock Exchange under ticker symbol "NSCL". The company reported a US$1.02 billion net loss on US$140.6 million in revenue in the six months ended June 30, 2026. Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley will serve as lead bookrunners for the offering.

Nscale and Figure partner on 100,000-GPU AI compute facility in Texas
Nscale, a UK AI data-centre developer, signed a multi-year strategic partnership with Figure, a humanoid robotics company, to deploy up to 100,000 NVIDIA GPUs at Nscale's Barstow, Texas facility starting in the second half of 2027. The initial commitment is worth $3.5 billion, with plans to scale beyond $6 billion. Nscale will become Figure's preferred compute provider and shareholder, supporting the training and deployment of Figure's Helix AI models using NVIDIA's Vera Rubin platform.
