Zerra lodges development application for 1.44GW Queensland data centre campus
Singapore-based data centre developer Zerra DC, through project company WDDP Pty Ltd, has lodged a development application with Western Downs Regional Council for the Western Downs Digital Park, a 1.44GW data centre campus planned for a 725.5-hectare site near Dalby, Queensland. The project proposes four 360MW buildings delivered in four stages, with construction costs estimated at AUD 14.5bn (AUD 16bn including GST) and an expected construction period of four to six years. The site was selected for proximity to high-voltage transmission infrastructure and nearby gas-fired power stations. Once operational, the campus is forecast to generate approximately 1,400 direct jobs and AUD 760m in annual gross value added to Queensland.
