Gamuda awarded US$420M hyperscale data-center construction contract in Port Dickson
Gamuda Berhad announced it has been awarded a RM1.71 billion (US$420 million) construction contract for a hyperscale data center in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, by an undisclosed US tech company. The work, commencing Q3 2026 and completing Q2 2028, covers site infrastructure, core and shell construction, and MEP fit-out for a single-storey facility. This is Gamuda's second hyperscale data center construction project at the same location, following a similar US$430 million contract awarded in April 2026.

Malaysian construction firm Binastra Corporation Berhad's subsidiary Binastra Builders has been awarded a RM491 million (US$120 million) contract to construct phases 1 and 2 of a data center in Kuala Lumpur. The letter of award was accepted from Exsim Sri Permai Sdn Bhd, as disclosed in a Bursa Malaysia filing. The contract represents a significant construction milestone for data center development in Malaysia's capital region.
