The agreement covers facility access, fiber optic connectivity, security compliance, and operational support at Enovum's Montreal-based facility. This represents a concrete service engagement between an AI chip manufacturer and a regional Canadian data center operator to support Cerebras's infrastructure needs.
Bit Digital Acquires Montreal Site for 5MW Tier-3 Data Center
Bit Digital, Inc. acquired real estate and a building in Pointe-Claire, Montreal for a build-to-suit 5MW Tier-3 data center expansion project. The company purchased the 160,000 sq ft site from an Alexandria Real Estate Equities subsidiary for CAD $33.5 million (USD $23.3 million) on December 27, 2024. Development is expected to cost approximately CAD $27.6 million (USD $19.3 million) with completion targeted for May 2025. The facility will feature direct-to-chip liquid cooling and be powered by 100% renewable hydroelectricity from Hydro-Quebec.
