  DayOne breaks ground on Kodaira data center campus in Tokyo

  DayOne broke ground on Phase I of the DayOne Kodaira Data Center in Tokyo on 14 September 2026. Phase I will deliver 15 MW of IT capacity, with the full Kodaira campus planned for 42 MW. This is DayOne's second campus in Japan, complementing its earlier Fuchu site, as the APAC-focused operator expands its portfolio across the region.

  Batam approves seawater desalination plants for DayOne data center

  BP Batam has approved seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) plants as a condition of DayOne's large-scale data center campus development in Batam. The SWRO plant, valued at approximately Rp180 billion (US$10.26 million), will provide freshwater for the data center's cooling systems and will eventually be handed to BP Batam for management. A second data center developer, PT Equator Gate System Batam, is also planning an SWRO plant. Surplus freshwater from these plants could potentially serve local community needs.

  DayOne has partnered with TNB to develop up to 1.5GW of onsite generation capacity for a planned data center in Selangor, Malaysia.

  DayOne acquires 78.8-acre Sepang site for US$152.8M data center

  Singapore-based data center operator DayOne has purchased 78.80 acres of freehold land in Sepang, Malaysia from property developer Mah Sing Group Berhad for RM617.8 million (US$152.8 million). The transaction was completed through wholly-owned subsidiaries and paid in cash. Completion of the sale is subject to conditions including issuance of new title and approvals from Malaysia's Data Centre Task Force and PLANMalaysia, expected in 2H2027. The land is part of the 428.84-acre Southville City township and will support Mah Sing's pivot into digital infrastructure.

  DayOne secures US$415m green loan for hydrogen-powered Singapore data centre

  Singapore-based data-centre operator DayOne has secured a SGD 530 million (US$415 million) green loan from banks DBS, OCBC and UOB to finance its first data centre in Singapore. The 20 MW facility, SG1, located in western Singapore, will integrate Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) hydrogen power generation technology alongside vertical building-integrated photovoltaics and hybrid cooling. The facility broke ground in July 2025 and is expected to be operational by Q1 2027; it has already achieved BCA Green Mark Platinum (Provisional) certification in December 2025.
