Goodman raises $455m for Hong Kong data centre partnership
Goodman Group raised $455 million in equity funding for its Hong Kong Data Centre Partnership to finance the mechanical and electrical fit-out of HKG10, a data centre located in Tsuen Wan that will open in early 2028. The facility will be built into an existing Goodman warehouse and will be operated by Goodman, with first capacity ready for service in early 2028. The partnership, launched in July 2025 with $2.7 billion in total commitments, will eventually comprise six assets providing 180 MW of IT capacity across Hong Kong.
Range Intelligent seeks HK$20 billion loan for Hong Kong's Sandy Ridge data centre
Range Intelligent Computing Technology Group, a mainland Chinese firm, won the auction for Hong Kong's Sandy Ridge data centre site with a HK$24 billion investment pledge and is now seeking HK$20 billion in loan financing. The financing, equivalent to S$3.9 billion, would be one of the largest loan deals in Hong Kong in 2026 and is a test case for the city's ambitions to become a data centre hub serving Chinese hyperscalers. The project is part of Hong Kong's Northern Metropolis plan and has government backing, with the city dipping into its currency defence fund to support regional development.
