Carter Validus acquires AT&T California data center for $134.5M
Carter Validus Mission Critical REIT acquired a 499,402 sq ft data center in San Diego-Carlsbad, California from AT&T and Telegraph Company for $134.5 million. The facility, built in 1983, was immediately leased back to AT&T Services (wholly-owned subsidiary of AT&T) under a 10-year net lease with $9.9M annual base rent and renewal options. The acquisition was funded by net proceeds and included a $2.69M advisory fee to Carter/Validus Advisors.
